New data center for TeleYemen in Aden
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation – Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Waed Badhib, inaugurated today, Thursday, the new data center of TeleYemen Company in the capital Aden, with the aim of enhancing the company’s infrastructure and developing its technical system according to the highest international standards. Badhib stressed the continuation of efforts to develop the communications sector based on the directives of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council, and the Prime Minister.. Noting that TeleYemen Company seeks to develop its infrastructure in order to preserve data and information related to the communications process, and that the company is determined to advance and innovate as it was a pioneer in introducing (Starlink) services. The new data center is a fortified site equipped with the latest technical equipment, and contains the company’s servers, devices and affiliated systems. The center also provides a safe and stable environment to protect sensitive information and the ability to access it easily when needed, as well as ensures the continuity of services without interruption, and contributes to improving business performance thanks to a strong infrastructure for data processing, in addition to analyzing user behavior, which contributes to making informed decisions and developing future strategies. The center includes advanced systems including the Enterprise Resource Planning and Management System (ERP), the internal network system, and servers for the company’s emails with backup copies, in addition to the necessary equipment to connect to the submarine cable station, and a monitoring system for the submarine cable station between Aden and Djibouti. The data center is also equipped with a comprehensive infrastructure including a control system, a backup power system (UPS) to protect devices from any power outage, in addition to cooling systems, fire extinguishers, and other equipment that conforms to the highest technical specifications.
